The owners of Titan Restoration Company have always had a passion for giving back to their community in any way they can, which is why they choose several charities to donate to every year.  Over the years, the company has donated to a wide variety of charities, including the Fauquier food bank, adopting seniors during the holidays, the ASPCA, and many more. This year, the company is striving to increase its charitable efforts with its “Giving is Living” campaign. The company has encouraged its employees to submit their favorite charities and the owners will select one or two charities each quarter to which they will donate.

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

- Winston S. Churchill

For the First quarter, the company chose the American Heart Association and Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation. These are both wonderful organizations that our company is proud to support and we want to highlight them here to help spread the word of their great missions:

The American Heart Association is a voluntary organization dedicated to promoting cardiovascular health and the prevention and treatment of heart disease and strokes. The American Heart Association was founded in 1924 by a group of six cardiologists and today it funds over $4 billion in cardiovascular research. The organization provides information on healthy living to help the public educate themselves, and programs to help children be healthy, in addition to their research funding. Learn more about the American Heart Association and/or donate at https://www.heart.org/

Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides non-medical support to children with cancer and their families. They provide uplifting experiences for children who are battling cancer by providing toys, books, games, makeovers, meet and greets with princesses and super heroes, and so much more. Stillbrave is also fully funds the INOVA Children’s Hospital Adolescent/Young Adult Oncology Program, providing age appropriate activities and support to the older kids in the oncology ward. In addition to supporting the children, Stillbrave provides assistance to their families in any way they can. The organization helps families who are struggling financially by paying bills and providing gas and grocery cards, while their volunteer network helps with things such as house chores, repairs, baby sitting and other tasks to support the families so that they can focus on their children. “I think people forget that it doesn’t take a big donation to help someone, just a lot of little donations.”

- Hannah Teter
